Acids and Bases (Level 3)

Learners will learn about acids, bases, their properties, the pH scale, indicators, and neutralisation reaction. At the end of the project, they will use these concepts to create a bath bomb, a painting or an indicator to test water quality.

Guardians of the Environment (Level 3)

Learners will create a conservation tool like a rainwater harvesting tool or any method of forest conservation based on their understanding of water and forests. They will explore the concepts of water cycle, sources of water, water scarcity, uses of water, deforestation and afforestation to come up with this tool.

What can we do to protect the environment in which we live?

Luminous Spaces (Level 3)


Learners will create a model of a room that gets completely lit up by one beam of light entering through a small opening. They will achieve this by manipulating the light beam using plane and curved mirrors, as well as lenses.

LEADING QUESTION:

Can I light up an entire room using one thin beam of light?

Solar Water Heater (Level 3)

Learners will understand and apply the concepts of heat absorption and insulation to design and create a solar water heater. They will also understand the workings of a thermometer and use it to measure the temperature of heated water.

How hot can water get if I heat it only using sunlight?
